This is a great tune! I first heard of Hem on Noise Trade and eventually purchased their most recent release, Departure and Farewell. I love their indie/folk sound and how the vocals lean towards subtle and understated. When I listened to the second track from Hem’s latest called Walking Past The Graveyard Not Breathing, I was immediately reminded of my dear old departed Dad. Not that my Dad recently passed, but in those moments the song mentally transported me to a different time and era. I like your selection, and think we could all enjoy a bit more Hem.
Thanks for the comment. Sorry I didn’t see it sooner. I plan to post a bunch more by Hem. “Walking Past The Graveyard, Not Breathing” isn’t one of my favorites, but the end is lovely.
